The Last Bar at the End of the World
Thin Duke Productions in association with Sparkplug Productions presents
"THE LAST BAR AT THE END OF THE WORLD"

A world premiere directed by Philip Cruise
Written by Emmy and Ringo award winning cartoonist Dean Haspiel

Featuring:
Philip Cruise, Tarik Davis, Lex Friedman, Seth Gilliam, Christopher Lee, Edward Miller, Alyssa Simon, Anna Stefanic, and Stoya

We are incredibly excited to be in production for Dean Haspiel's new work "The Last Bar at the End of the World." Dean returns to the stage with this existential tragicomedy about a dying graphic novelist in Brooklyn, his best friend, and the sages, teachers, lovers, and losers that fill up his cityscape. "Last Bar" asks the question Why are we here and what do we have to do to move on?"

Director Philip Cruise, writer Dean Haspiel, and cast members Seth Gilliam and Ed Miller all met as students at SUNY Purchase, and have continued to work and play together for many years. Several of the amazingly talented performers in the cast were part of Dean's critically acclaimed sold-out run of "Harakiri Kane" in Brooklyn last November, and readily agreed to be part of his next premiere, including Haspiel collaborator Stoya, adult-film legend, actress and writer. These artists all believe in Dean's emerging theatrical voice and have joined forces to present this off-kilter examination of NYC life in the "post-truth" era.
